Ministerul rus de Finanțe prognozează un deficit bugetar de 3% pentru 2026, aproape dublu față de ținta pe care și-a propus-o Guvernul - Economica.net

Russia is expected to face a budget deficit of 3% of GDP this year, nearly double the planned amount, according to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. Military spending has increased due to the war in Ukraine, prompting tax hikes. The government aims to reduce the deficit to 1.6% of GDP this year, but the current deficit has already reached 2.5% from January to August. Siluanov noted that additional funding sources will be provided to cover new expenses. Despite rising oil export revenues, the deficit has grown, and the government plans to borrow more than initially planned. President Putin anticipates a reduction in the deficit to around 2% of GDP by 2027, supported by increasing oil and gas revenues. The Central Bank of Russia has flagged the large budget deficit as a significant inflation risk.
