The Ministry of Labor has provided updates regarding the 125 lei food card support for pensioners in 2026. Although the program is set for 2025-2027, the availability of funds this year is uncertain and depends on decisions from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE). Currently, no beneficiary lists for 2026 have been requested, which complicates the situation for those relying on this support. The amount has been reduced from 250 lei in 2024 to 125 lei, distributed every six months. Eligible recipients include low-income pensioners, people with disabilities, and those receiving minimum inclusion income. The Ministry emphasizes that MIPE is responsible for confirming the availability of funds for 2026, leaving beneficiaries in a state of uncertainty regarding their financial support.
