The Ministry of Environment has launched a public consultation for a program funding batteries for photovoltaic systems, with a budget of 400 million lei. This initiative targets individuals who are prosumers, allowing them to store energy produced during the day for later use. The maximum funding per system is set at 15,000 lei, with a cap of 1,250 lei per kWh. The program aims to enhance energy efficiency and reduce pressure on the national energy system, especially during peak hours. Eligible participants include all prosumers, regardless of how their photovoltaic systems were financed. The program will also support certified installers.
