Iran and Oman have reached an agreement to establish a new maritime route, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei. The geographical parameters of the route have been accepted, and a joint statement will be issued soon. The agreement does not entail a complete reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
