Ministerul Finanțelor reduce cu 25% acciza la motorină pentru 1–15 septembrie 2026

The Romanian Ministry of Finance is temporarily reducing the excise duty on standard diesel by 25% for the period of September 1-15, 2026, due to recent market evaluations. This follows a previous 20% reduction in late August, prompted by rising international prices. The new adjustment lowers the excise to 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters. This measure aims to alleviate fiscal pressure on fuel prices, particularly affecting the transport and logistics sectors. The ministry will continue to monitor market indicators and adjust the excise accordingly.
