Ministerul Finanțelor prelungește reducerea temporară cu 25% a accizei la motorină până la finalul lunii octombrie 2026

The Ministry of Finance has extended the temporary 25% reduction of the excise duty on diesel fuel until October 31, 2026. Initially reduced by 20%, the excise was increased to 25% to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on the population and the economy. The reduction translates to a decrease of 701.07 lei per 1,000 liters, maintaining the excise at 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters during this period. This decision follows a bi-weekly evaluation of international prices and aims to limit the cascading effects of fuel costs on transport and logistics, ultimately affecting consumer goods prices. The Ministry will continue to monitor market indicators closely.
