Ministerul Finanţelor menţine la 25% reducerea accizei aplicabile la motorină pentru intervalul 16-30 septembrie

The Romanian Ministry of Finance has decided to maintain a 25% temporary reduction in the excise duty on standard diesel from September 16 to 30, 2026, due to ongoing pressures in the fuel market. This measure reflects the need to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on the economy and consumers. The reduction translates to a decrease of 701.07 lei per 1,000 liters, keeping the effective excise duty at 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters. The ministry will continue to monitor international fuel prices and domestic pump prices biweekly to adjust the excise accordingly.
