The Ministry of Finance raised 1.27 billion lei through the tenth round of Fidelis government bonds this year. The new bond issues will start trading on October 15 at the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Since August 2020, the ministry has attracted 73.7 billion lei from the public, with over 11.7 billion lei from this year alone. The latest offering included seven bond issues, four in lei and three in euro, with a special issue for blood donors. Investors can trade these bonds through authorized intermediaries, and the income from them is tax-exempt.
