The Ministry of Finance has launched a new edition of the TEZAUR state bonds program, offering annual interest rates up to 7.15%. From September 7 to October 2, 2026, Romanian citizens can invest in these bonds with maturities of 1, 3, and 5 years. The income from these investments is tax-exempt, and the bonds are issued in dematerialized form. Purchases can be made online through Ghișeul.ro or at Treasury units, with specific eligibility criteria for investors. The funds raised will be used for budget deficit financing and public debt refinancing. Investors can also cancel subscriptions during the subscription period.
