Ministerul Finanțelor: Acciza la motorină este redusă cu 25% și în a doua jumătate a lunii octombrie

The temporary 25% reduction in excise duty on standard diesel has been extended for the period of October 16-31, 2026, as announced by the Ministry of Finance. This reduction translates to a decrease of 701.07 lei per 1,000 liters, maintaining the effective excise duty at 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters. The measure aims to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on the population and the economy, following a crisis declared in March 2026. The mechanism will continue to be adjusted biweekly based on international price fluctuations and domestic pump prices.
