The Ministry of Finance has increased interest rates for the Fidelis government bonds, offering up to 7.75% for lei-denominated bonds and 6.60% for euro-denominated ones. The new offer is available from October 2 to October 9, 2026, with tax-free earnings. Special rates are available for blood donors, including a 7.60% interest for 2-year lei bonds. The minimum investment is 5,000 lei or 1,000 euros, with bonds tradable on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The interest rates have risen across all maturities compared to September, with significant increases for both currencies.
