The Ministry of Finance borrowed 532 million lei through a bond issuance with a 22-month maturity at a yield of 6.98%. The nominal value was 500 million lei, with banks subscribing 1.227 billion lei. A supplementary auction is scheduled to raise an additional 79.8 million lei. In October 2026, the Ministry plans to borrow 5.8 billion lei from commercial banks, which is lower than the previous month's target. This amount will be used for refinancing public debt and financing the state budget deficit.
