Ministerul Finanțelor a decis că acciza la motorină se menține la nivelul redus de 25% și în a doua jumătate a lunii octombrie

The Ministry of Finance has decided to maintain the 25% reduced excise duty on diesel fuel for the period of October 16-31, 2026, following a biweekly evaluation. This measure aims to alleviate pressures in the fuel market and is based on international price trends. The reduction translates to a decrease of 701.07 lei per 1,000 liters, keeping the effective excise at 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters. The decision reflects a significant increase in diesel prices, with a 47.78% rise in Platts quotes and a 35.60% increase in pump prices. The mechanism established by Law no. 162/2026 allows for dynamic adjustments every two weeks to mitigate the impact on the economy and consumer prices.
