Ministerul Energiei cere populației și companiilor să reducă voluntar consumul de energie electrică între orele 19.00 și 23.00, până pe 31 august

The Ministry of Energy has called for voluntary energy consumption reduction from 7 PM to 11 PM until August 31, 2026, due to a severe energy crisis in Romania. This situation is exacerbated by a significant drop in the Danube's water flow, impacting hydroelectric production and the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The recommendations are voluntary and aim to alleviate pressure on the National Energy System during peak hours. Consumers are encouraged to shift high-energy activities to earlier hours and avoid simultaneous use of high-consumption appliances. The Ministry emphasizes that these measures should not compromise health or safety.
