Ministerul Economiei: România are cinci plaje „Blue Flag” în 2026

Romania will have five beaches awarded the 'Blue Flag' in 2026, promoting environmental protection and sustainable coastal development. The beaches include Axxis Nova, Phoenicia, Azur, Citadel, and Phoenicia Blue View. A new candidate, Dharma Beach, is preparing for the 2027 edition. The 'Blue Flag' program evaluates 33 criteria across four areas: environmental education, water quality, environmental management, and safety services. The initiative started in 1987 and was implemented in Romania in 2004, with annual evaluations conducted by a national jury.
