Extended drought and high temperatures have led to critically low water levels in several rivers in the Crișuri basin, with historical lows recorded. Four hydrometric stations in Bihor County reported unprecedented low flows, some below records set over sixty years ago. The Crișuri Water Administration noted that the flow at Pocola on Valea Roșia fell below the historical minimum recorded in 1969. Other rivers, including Bistra and Holod, also reached new lows. In Arad County, two rivers have completely dried up, prompting water supply restrictions in several Bihor localities. Authorities urge responsible water use to address the situation.
