Milioane de vaccinuri antirabice vor cădea din cer în SUA

Rabies has spread from dogs to wildlife, complicating control efforts. The USDA has been managing rabies since 1995, using oral rabies vaccine baits. Next month, they will distribute these baits in southeastern states to prevent rabies spread among raccoons and other wildlife. The goal is to create a vaccination barrier against rabies. Although South Carolina is not currently included, plans are in place to extend the program there soon. The vaccine is safe for many animal species, but citizens are advised to handle baits with care.
