Mii de șoferi riscă amenzi uriașe: dispozitivul care filmează depășirile interzise

A new traffic control device called 'Sorpassometro' is being implemented in Italy to detect illegal overtaking. Unlike speed cameras, it does not measure speed but identifies dangerous maneuvers. Sensors in the road detect vehicles crossing into oncoming traffic, and cameras automatically record the incident. Each case is validated by a police officer before fines are issued, which range from 167 to over 1,300 euros. These devices are installed only on designated dangerous road sections authorized by local decrees.
