Mii de oameni, în pericol de îngheț în Kiev iarna aceasta din cauza activiștilor de mediu
A heating project in Kyiv aimed at improving winter conditions has sparked protests from environmental activists. Residents of Teremki oppose unnecessary tree cutting for the pipeline's construction, despite acknowledging its importance for energy resilience. The initial route proposed by the city would have destroyed a park and hundreds of trees, leading to calls for a revised plan. The conflict highlights a divide between families suffering from last winter's cold and those concerned about green space destruction. Following violent protests, the city announced a reduction in tree removal. Dissatisfaction with Mayor Klitschko's leadership has also emerged, with protesters feeling misled about the project's true intentions.
