Mihai Chirica, inculpat în dosarul „Păcura”. Primarul Iașiului, audiat la DNA

The mayor of Iași, Mihai Chirica, was informed by DNA prosecutors that he is a defendant in the "Păcura" case, which involves the management of state fuel reserves. He stated that his situation remains unchanged since the last time he was questioned. Other city officials were also interrogated regarding the same case, which focuses on a payment made by the municipality for non-existent fuel reserves. The investigation, which began in December 2024, includes checks on various local entities and requests for documents related to the heating system's operation and responsibilities regarding fuel storage.
