Mihai Cheța, elevul de 18 ani premiat de NASA pentru un proiect care permite oamenilor să locuiască în spațiul cosmic

Mihai Cheța, an 18-year-old student from "Sfântul Sava" College, won first prize at a NASA international science competition with his project on space colonization. His project, Hestia, envisions a sustainable orbital habitat for 10,000 people, providing essential resources and artificial gravity. Cheța's innovative design aims to create a community in space, addressing practical living conditions. He presented his work at the International Space Development Conference in Washington after securing sponsorship for his trip. Cheța's passion for science was nurtured by supportive teachers, and he believes in the potential of Romanian youth in the sciences despite educational challenges.
