Microsoft avertizează asupra unei campanii de spionaj cibernetic
Microsoft warns that public Wi-Fi networks are being exploited in a widespread cyber espionage campaign linked to Russian intelligence. Attackers use fake login pages to trick users into installing malicious updates, allowing remote access to devices. The operation, named CaptiveCrunch, is attributed to the Storm-2945 group, associated with the Russian SVR. Victims are targeted in hotels and conference centers, where they are misled into downloading malware disguised as legitimate software updates. Microsoft advises users to avoid public Wi-Fi for sensitive activities and to be cautious of unsolicited update requests.
