Metroul s-ar putea opri. Fondurile s-au terminat la sfârșitul lunii august”. Mesajul sindicaliștilor • Newsweek România

Union representatives from Metrorex warn that train services may halt starting September 12 due to unpaid salaries. They claim that funding for subsidies has run out, leaving only 3,000 lei in the company's accounts. The delay in budget approval and subsidy requests has exacerbated the situation, with potential fare increases to 14 lei per trip if subsidies are not granted. Union leader Marian Artimon highlighted the urgency of the matter, stating that without timely salary payments, employees may take drastic actions. Additionally, around 300 train operators could request leave if salaries are not paid by September 16, further straining the already understaffed company.
