Metrorex officials state the trains are still undergoing tests, while a union leader claims they do not meet contract specifications. Issues include software problems and delays in obtaining technical approval. Metrorex has imposed penalties of around 62 million euros on Alstom for these delays, which are currently disputed in court. The contract for the trains exceeds 100 million euros, with potential for an additional 17 trains, raising the total project value to 240 million euros.
