Police conducted four home searches in Bucharest related to a fraud and embezzlement case involving a 50-year-old suspect. The investigation focuses on the period from 2022 to 2024, where the suspect allegedly misled representatives of five companies by signing contracts for accounting services that were never completed. He reportedly embezzled 257,835 lei from these firms. The suspect was taken for questioning, and legal measures will follow based on the investigation's outcome. The case is being handled by the Economic Crime Investigation Brigade under the supervision of the local prosecutor's office.
