Metoda „falsul accident” face victime în București

Several residents of Bucharest fell victim to a scam known as "false accident," perpetrated by four individuals who demanded money under false pretenses. The police identified the suspects, who misled victims into believing they had caused traffic accidents resulting in property damage, specifically to mobile phones. In one case, a woman was approached by a man claiming she had hit a pedestrian, leading her to pay 7,000 lei for a supposedly damaged phone. Another victim was also approached by a woman claiming to have been injured in an accident, who requested 4,000 lei for repairs. Following investigations, police arrested three suspects and are still searching for a fourth. The suspects are facing charges of fraud and attempted fraud, with ongoing investigations supervised by the local prosecutor's office.
