Romania is facing a heatwave with temperatures reaching up to 39°C, as announced by the National Meteorological Administration. The heat alerts, including orange and yellow codes, will be in effect from August 20 to August 24. Regions such as Banat and southern Oltenia will experience the highest temperatures, while other areas will see temperatures between 34°C and 37°C. The heatwave is expected to intensify, leading to tropical nights with minimum temperatures around 20°C to 26°C.
