Meta a acceptat să plătească până la 18 miliarde de dolari în procesul privind efectele Facebook și Instagram asupra copiilor. Cum se schimbă regulile pentru minori pe social media – Aleph News

Meta has agreed to pay up to $18 billion to settle allegations from most U.S. states regarding the impact of Facebook and Instagram on children. The settlement includes restrictions on teen usage of these platforms, limiting access to two hours per day without parental consent and blocking access from midnight to 6 AM. Additionally, teens will not see likes or reactions on posts. The agreement, the largest of its kind with a Big Tech company, aims to enhance protections for minors, although Meta does not admit wrongdoing. The majority of the settlement funds will be distributed among 48 states and other territories, while Meta also faces ongoing legal challenges related to addiction and mental health issues among youth.
