Meșteșugul folosit pentru președinții Franței era pe cale să dispară. Un atelier din Paris îi dă o nouă viață

A traditional printing technique in France, nearly lost to time, is being revived in a Paris workshop. Known as "timbrage au balancier," it involves manual presses to create embossed designs on paper. Éric Lejeusne, the last artisan, passed on his skills to Benoist Dallay, ensuring the craft's survival. The workshop now operates under Ramdane Touhami, preserving over 12,000 engraved blocks, some dating back to the 19th century. This revival aims to transform the endangered craft into a luxury product while maintaining its heritage.
