Meseria recunoscută oficial în România abia acum. Doar 20 de oameni o mai practică

The occupation of 'scientific investigator of cultural goods' has been officially recognized in Romania, with only 15-20 specialists currently active. This role is crucial for the research and protection of cultural heritage. The National Museum of Romanian History announced the provisional code for this occupation, which has been practiced for over 50 years but was previously classified under various other roles. The recognition comes at a time when many specialists are nearing retirement, and the network of conservation laboratories has significantly diminished. This official acknowledgment aims to strengthen the profession and foster a new generation of experts.
