In the first half of this year, Bihor's consumer protection inspectors conducted over 2,000 checks, imposing fines exceeding 2.3 million lei, while focusing on prevention and consumer education. The number of complaints from consumers rose significantly, with 1,713 cases reported, leading to a recovery of 686,647 lei for consumers. Despite efforts to promote voluntary controls, only one request was made by businesses. The agency aims to enhance compliance in the HoReCa sector, emphasizing accurate menu information and proper food handling practices.
