A significant capture by Romanian anti-mafia prosecutors involved a Swedish citizen linked to organized crime and violent attacks in Sweden. The suspect, residing in Romania for about three years, was apprehended during raids in Bucharest and Otopeni. He is accused of participating in serious violent crimes, including a September 2024 incident in Stockholm where he allegedly supported an attack on two victims. Romanian and Swedish authorities have formed a Joint Investigation Team to address the suspect's criminal activities. During the raids, weapons and other evidence were seized, and the suspect faces extradition following a Swedish arrest warrant.
