Membrii Guvernului Niculescu depun jurământul de învestitură. România are un nou premier după aproape șase luni de criză politică. Rezultat: 280 de voturi pentru și 58 împotrivă

The government led by Luca Niculescu received a vote of confidence from Parliament, ending a six-month political crisis in Romania. The new cabinet, comprising PSD and independent ministers, secured 280 votes in favor and 58 against, surpassing the required 233 votes. This marks the end of the longest governmental crisis since 1989, following the dismissal of Ilie Bolojan's government. Niculescu, a former ambassador, is now the Prime Minister, with a cabinet that includes key figures from PSD and independent ministers. Despite not joining the government, PNL and UDMR supported the cabinet, while USR and AUR opposed it. The new government faces economic challenges, including a high budget deficit and the need for fiscal reforms, with a governance program promising pension indexing and infrastructure projects. The main challenge will be securing funding for these commitments while maintaining investor confidence.
