The controversial American Dream real estate project in Brașov is back in focus as the developer resumes efforts after legal victories. Following years of public opposition and administrative disputes, the developer has obtained urbanism certificates necessary for project development. Recently, they requested an update to the environmental agreement from 2021, reflecting changes in the project. Despite the issuance of this document, construction has not yet commenced due to additional conditions imposed by the urbanism certificates. The project, which has faced protests since 2017, aims to build 42 buildings with nearly 600 housing units, but has been stalled by legal and administrative challenges.
