Romania will host the 52nd Annual Congress of the European Society for Artificial Organs (ESAO) from September 9-12, marking a significant international event in the field of future medicine. The event, supported by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation, will gather bioengineers, doctors, and researchers from around the world to discuss advancements in artificial organs. Researcher Alexandru Pleșoianu highlighted existing technologies that help patients, such as artificial hearts, which can serve as temporary solutions until transplants are available. He emphasized the importance of prevention alongside technological advancements, advocating for a healthy lifestyle among researchers. The congress reflects Romania's progress in medical research and its growing role in the global scientific community.
