Over half of the participants achieved at least 80% scalp coverage after 24 weeks. The drug targets immune signals that attack hair follicles, and while results are promising, it is not a cure for all hair loss types. The studies involved 1,399 participants, with some regaining full hair coverage. The findings were published in JAMA Dermatology, and the drug has been approved in Europe for treating severe alopecia areata.
