Medicamentele care taie pofta de mâncare lovesc restaurantele. Unul din opt localuri reclamă mai puțini clienți

The rise in popularity of weight loss medications is impacting dining habits in the UK, with many establishments reporting decreased visits. A survey indicated that 16% of hospitality businesses in Scotland have seen a decline in customer numbers due to these treatments. The medications, which mimic a natural hormone that regulates appetite, are used by approximately 1.6 million adults in the UK. While the hospitality sector faces challenges from rising costs and reduced consumer spending, there is some optimism as 71% of businesses expect to break even or profit. The SLTA is advocating for a VAT reduction to support the industry amid these changes.
