McDonald's supports families with sick children through the McHappy Day campaign, benefiting Ronald McDonald Houses in Romania. From October 12-18, 2026, funds will be raised to provide essential services for families during medical treatments. Each Happy Meal purchased contributes to this cause, and donations can also be made online or via SMS. A new plush toy collection, 'Prieteni de suflet', will further support the initiative. Over 28 years, the foundation has provided over 147,000 nights of free accommodation for families, ensuring they stay close to their hospitalized children. The campaign emphasizes the importance of family presence during difficult times.
