Măsuri pentru asigurarea apei pentru răcirea reactoarelor de la Cernavodă. Debitul Dunării este la un minim istoric
The National Administration "Apele Române" has implemented measures to increase water discharge from the Iezer reservoir to ensure safe cooling for the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant amid historically low Danube levels. Current Danube inflow is below 1,200 m³/s, with Cernavodă water levels nearing operational limits. A temporary increase of 20 m³/s in discharge from the Iezer reservoir is set from October 10 to 18, 2026, coordinated with controlled water releases from other reservoirs to maintain water levels. These actions are necessary to comply with emergency measures and ensure the plant's operational safety.
