This decision follows significant disruptions in transport services since June 2026, caused by the previous operator's failure to fulfill contractual obligations. The new contract will be temporary and limited to resolving the current crisis, with specific regulations and a transport program to be implemented. Local residents, including pensioners and unemployed individuals, will benefit from free transport, while the fare for regular journeys will be set at 3.5 lei. The city aims to restore public transport services effectively and promptly.
