Măsuri de urgență: Guvernul încearcă să crească debitul Dunării la Cernavodă. Va elibera apă din Olt timp de cinci zile

The National Emergency Committee approved measures to ensure water supply for the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's cooling systems due to low Danube levels. Dredging works will continue, water will be released from Olt reservoirs, and a dam will be built to redirect some water towards the plant. The decision was announced by the government, with dredging operations managed by the Lower Danube Water Administration. Additionally, water will be released from Olt to temporarily increase Danube flow, aiding both cooling and electricity production. Military divers will assist in underwater interventions, and high-capacity pumps will be deployed if necessary.
