Mașinile poluante ar putea avea acces restricționat în unele orașe. Ce prevede noul Cod al Urbanismului

New urban planning regulations may restrict access for polluting vehicles in certain city areas, with local councils required to define low and zero-emission zones within a year. The new Urbanism Code, effective from August 2026, mandates local authorities to integrate these zones into urban plans to improve air quality. However, it does not automatically ban older vehicles or set a national standard for emissions. Existing legislation already addresses low-emission zones, allowing local authorities to impose access restrictions based on environmental criteria. The European Union supports similar measures to enhance air quality across urban areas.
