In July, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for over 25% of new car registrations in Europe, driven by strong growth in France and Germany. Registrations increased by 13.6% compared to July 2025, totaling 224,266 units, with a market share of 25.7%. Nearly 1.5 million BEVs were registered in the first seven months of the year, marking a 30% increase from the same period in 2025. France saw a market share of 35%, while Germany reached 29.3%. Nordic countries and the Benelux region maintained the highest market shares, with Denmark leading at 80.1%. However, Italy's market share dropped to 5.9% due to the end of previous incentives. Chris Heron from E-Mobility Europe emphasized the need for stable public policies to sustain this growth.
