A 59-year-old man from Olt County was arrested after allegedly stealing a car with a minor inside and causing an accident. He was found to be driving without a license and under the influence of alcohol, with a breathalyzer reading of 1.17 mg/l. The incident occurred on October 10 in Izvoarele, where the man took a parked vehicle and crashed into a bridge. The minor required medical attention and was taken to the hospital. The man has been charged with theft for use, driving under the influence, driving without a license, and bodily harm. He was detained for 24 hours and later placed in preventive custody for 30 days by the Slatina Court. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the events.
