Border police in Albița are investigating a case involving a man with dual Romanian and Moldovan citizenship who attempted to export a cloned car sought in Germany. The vehicle had false registration plates and contained counterfeit identification documents. The incident occurred on August 13, when the 38-year-old man presented the car at the border. Authorities discovered the car was reported as stolen and confirmed the registration plates were fake. A thorough search revealed a stamp and sticker resembling those used by German authorities hidden inside the vehicle. The man claimed he borrowed the car without knowledge of its illegal status. Investigations are ongoing for several offenses, and the car, valued at approximately 125,000 lei, has been seized for further inquiries.
