Mărturia de pe patul de spital a pilotului care a împiedicat prăbușirea unui avion Flydubai: „Nu eram sigur că voi scăpa cu viață”

The captain of a Flydubai flight described a harrowing attack by his co-pilot, who allegedly intended to crash the plane. Smit Machchhar recounted his struggle to defend himself and alert others during the incident, which occurred while flying over Saudi Arabia. The co-pilot used an emergency axe from the cockpit, leading to a rapid descent of the aircraft. Machchhar managed to call for help before losing consciousness. Fortunately, other pilots regained control and landed safely. The attacker, an Omani national, is being investigated for attempted suicide attack, reportedly inspired by the 9/11 attacks.
