Solmeria, a European marketplace for renewable energy projects, is entering the Romanian market with two hybrid solar and storage projects in Cluj County. The platform connects developers with investors and allows individual project sales, differing from traditional bulk sales. Solmeria aims to facilitate quicker transactions, claiming a three-week timeframe from project listing to contract signing. The initial projects have a combined capacity of 6.2 MWp and 24 MWh of storage, benefiting from EU grants. With over 300 registered buyers, Solmeria offers Romanian developers direct access to international investors, while foreign investors can discover local projects without extensive groundwork. The company plans to expand its European presence by 2027.
