The "Driving the Future Forward" conference at Smart Urban Mobility gathered leaders from various sectors to discuss investments and the potential for Romania to become a regional transport hub. Urban mobility, particularly public transport, remains crucial, with the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) modernizing its fleet with electric buses and expanding charging stations. Recent funding of 87.44 million euros will support the acquisition of new trams, trolleybuses, and electric buses, contributing to a cleaner public transport system. The event also showcases innovative urban mobility solutions in Romania.
