The unconventional conflict in the Middle East, initiated by the US and Israel against Iran, has a clear winner: China, according to expert Ioana Constantin-Bercean. She noted that despite not intervening militarily, China wields significant influence in the situation. Recently, Beijing rejected US threats of sanctions against those doing business with Iran, asserting it will protect its interests. While economic reprisals against Iran are expected, China has supported Iran in various ways. Iran, too, has gained a resilient image despite facing a powerful military. The ongoing nuclear program remains intact, and North Korea continues to pose a nuclear threat.
