Marea Britanie impune 31 de sancțiuni Rusiei: nave din „flota fantomă”, propagandiști și torționari • Newsweek România

The UK has announced 31 new sanctions against Russia, targeting ships from the 'phantom fleet', Kremlin propagandists, and individuals accused of human rights violations in Ukraine. These measures aim to restrict funding sources for the war and increase economic pressure on Moscow ahead of winter. The sanctions include actions against those involved in the arbitrary detention and torture of Ukrainian civilians, as well as individuals linked to the indoctrination of Ukrainian children. The UK government estimates that around 6,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly transferred to re-education camps. Additionally, the sanctions target ships acquired to help Russia evade sanctions and maintain gas export revenues. The UK has sanctioned nearly 600 tankers used for circumventing Western restrictions. The measures were announced following Russia's illegitimate elections in occupied Ukrainian territories, emphasizing the UK's commitment to supporting Ukraine.
